Sundilla wins 2017 SERFA Award
2017 SERFA Awards A committee consisting of Kari Estrin, who created the awards 2014, Clint Bernard, and Art Menius selected three esteemed recipients for the 2017 SERFA Awards: Kathy Mattea, John McCutcheon, and Sundilla, which the board then ratified. The SERFA Awards recognize those people and entities that made extraordinary contributions to folk music and its community in the Southeast Region of Folk Alliance. The SouthEast Regional Folk Alliance, or SERFA, has announced the recipients of the 2017 SERFA Awards, and one of the three recipients calls Auburn home. There’s no denying it: 2018 was an incredible year for Sundilla. Record attendance, a record number of Season Pass holders, and a record number of supporters at the Folk Hero level. We presented 16 concerts (14 at the AUUF, and two at Pebble Hill) and 9 of those performers were Sundilla first-timers. (10 if you count the Randall Bramblett Band, since all of Randall’s previous appearances were solo concerts.) And at least one of the first-timers was performing in Alabama for the first time.
