Okay, so we’ve not yet seen Inside Llewyn Davis, so it’s hard to give it an unqualified recommendation, but the Coen Brothers’ have put one of the great, but overlooked periods in American folk music in front of a mass audience and that’s worthy of some support. The film is currently in limited release, so check your local listings. We can, however, recommend the soundtrack without reservation. T-Bone Burnett has once again outdone himself, bringing together a great collection of contemporary musicians (including Justin Timberlake!) and drawing some terrific performances from the films actors.
