Sarah Peacock and special guest Danni Nicholls will make their Sundilla debuts on Friday, September 8. Showtime at Pebble Hill (101 S. Debardeleben in Auburn) is 7:30, and you can find $20 advance tickets at Spicer’s Music, Ross House Coffee, and online at sundillamusic.com; admission at the door will be $25. The Chill Spot food truck will be on hand with tacos, sausage dogs, frozen treats and more, and as always attendees are welcome to bring their own favorite food or drink.
Sarah Peacock’s first Sundilla appearance is coming a little sooner than expected. On the schedule for 2024, she jumped at the opportunity to come sooner when a slot opened up. (Tiffany Williams, originally scheduled for September 8, had a late-coming but unavoidable conflict but will be here next year.) But Peacock is more than a pinch-hitter. A touring musician since 2005, Peacock has a rabid fan base, a voice that could stop hearts, and more than a few recordings that are must-haves for your collection. She’s also got more than her share of rave reviews, including “Cracking, soul-burning, remarkable!” from American Songwriter Magazine, “A mysterious, haunting, poetic, evocative saga…a folk pop diva with plenty to say…” from Music Row Magazine, “At the core of her sound is cunning songwriting and the voice to deliver it. ” from Pop Matters, and “Sarah Peacock’s new album is a beacon of hope for a better tomorrow.” from Riffs & Rhymes.
Sarah will be bringing along Danni Nicholls, who recently relocated to Nashville from her home in Bedfordshire, England. Before moving to our side of the Atlantic Danni garnered nominations in three consecutive Americana Music Association UK Awards (for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year.) She has been compared to Linda Ronstadt and has toured with Lucinda Williams, and Bob Harris of BBC Radio says “I absolutely love the elegance and beauty of her music.”
Even with the relatively short notice, this is sure to be a concert that draws a lot of attention, and you’ll want to be there to see why. Or maybe you’re already a fan of Sarah and/or Danni, and you’re ready to get your tickets now while they last. Either way, this one is a can’t-miss.
