The Belle Hollows have been a standard on The Sundilla Radio Hour, and now this heralded trio will make the Sundilla Concert Series debut on Thursday, June 8. Showtime at the AUUF is 7:30; admission at the door will be $15, but advance tickets cost just $12 and are available at Spicer’s Music, Blooming Colors, and online at www.sundillamusic.com. Free coffee, tea, water and food will be available, and the audience is invited to bring whatever food or beverage they prefer.
Having first played together as part of the Nashville-based newgrass band The Barrel Jumpers, Robert Phaneuf and siblings Rachel Johnson and Jeremy Johnson spent the better part of a decade developing the unique vocal blend that characterized the sound of their former band. Now, with years of experience together and a sound that is all their own, they are making waves on the stage and in the studio. Their debut album, Miller’s Creek, debuted at #2 on the Folk-DJ list, and ended the year ranked as one of the 40 most-played albums of 2016.
Their original songs, a well-crafted blend of tasteful arrangements and soothing vocals (and perfect harmonies,) bring to mind such Sundilla favorites as Harpeth Rising, Neptune’s Car and Moors & McCumber.
The award-winning Sundilla Concert Series and Radio Hour has long been known for booking performers who grow from “never heard of them” to “one of my favorites!” in the space on one show, and The Belle Hollows are destined to be the latest addition to that list.
The Belle Hollows are one of those acts that people are going to want to see over and over, but no show will ever be better than the first. So join us at the AUUF on Thursday, June 8, to witness the first Sundilla appearance of The Belle Hollows. Advance tickets cost just $12 and are available at Spicer’s Music, Blooming Colors, and online at www.sundillamusic.com; admission at the door will be $15.
